When one adventures upon the path of enlightenment they shall inexplicably reach a crossroad that beckons them to confront their own darkness. That which is suppressed and ignored shall not disappear; eventually the adept must confront their own inner darkness.
This darkness within us has been termed “The Negative Ego” because by all intents and purposes it feeds off your negativity. This individual aspect of our being must be confronted and remedied in order to ascend. This negative ego is the very basis for the looshing paradigm and whomever can master their negative ego has disentangled from the Negative Alien Agenda.
The manner in which a individual will confront their own shadow varies from person to person. Some people will encounter a entity that is our subconscious manifestation of our darkness(Guardian Of The Threshold), while others may only have this confrontation within their emotional and mental bodies.
Regardless of what heralds this confrontation is moot; what is guaranteed is that your negative ego will fight for it’s very existence. The negative ego doesn’t want to give up control; it will do anything and everything to prevent it’s own dissolution. The negative ego has created an environment in which it can operate independent of you as long as you remain unaware of it.
When you come into the awareness of the negative ego it’s power is threatened thus it uses every tactic known to prevent your ascent. The main tactic it uses is to maintain it’s stranglehold upon your mind. The mind control that is present upon this planet is an manifestation of both our collective and individual negative ego. The circumstances surrounding our present predicament is our own creation. The world and it’s current state of being is a result of our thoughts, emotions, beliefs and actions. We have all co-created this reality together.
Perseverance will be needed when confronting the shadow in which lurks deep within your mind. When it’s position of power and authority is threatened it will turn your thoughts into a mess. Your ability to think clearly will be hindered; racing thoughts will be present and the randomness of the quality of your thoughts will be greatly affected.
What I’ve learned from experience is that dissolving the negative ego is very difficult. Your thoughts will seem out of control; you’ll have random negative thoughts emerge into your conscious awareness and many times you’ll wonder where they came from. Here’s a video below that is a prime example of what it will be like.
Have you ever experienced having automatic random train of thoughts coming and going as your about to sleep? Many times when I’m reaching a point of falling asleep I can sense my thoughts being directed without much conscious control. They flow without much conscious effort and the moment I become aware of them it’s randomness never ceases to amaze me.
This is the best way I can describe the randomness of your thoughts when your ego is being dissolved. Random negative thoughts that many would be ashamed of will emerge from deep within your subconscious mind in order to seek remedy and resolution. We cannot resolve that which we are not aware of. This darkness can only survive if it remains hidden. Thus the fact that your thoughts feel or seem out of control is a very good sign.
Most people will never experience this. This level of conflict within the individual is a very rare occurrence and only those whom are ready will experience it. It will be turbulent experience and it will herald dark times. This will coincide with what many have termed “The Dark Night Of The Soul“. You will experience despair, misery and pain that will challenge your resolve to see this through to the end.
This is where perseverance must be exercised otherwise one will be swept away by the maelstrom that accompanies the act of dissolving the negative ego. Ascension requires us to accept and integrate these dark aspects of ourselves. Be present when your negative ego starts a rant. When your stuck in a negative habitual thought pattern try to hold a space to witness and observe these thoughts. This is difficult to explain; what I’ve learned through experience is that I can be present when my negative ego is throwing a tantrum; it feels and is experienced as if I have an awareness that is beyond/behind those thoughts.
This has allowed me to lovingly observe these patterns without becoming emotional entangled with them, thus assisting me in releasing these negative energies from my being. It will be difficult; your negative ego will throw tantrums as much as possible, but the more you practice it, the easier it becomes. I’ve recently crossed a threshold that has proven conclusively that this negative ego isn’t us, we are more than our thoughts. The fact I can be this awareness that observes this negative ego has given me all the proof I need.
The more you practice being present when experiencing negative thinking the easier it will be to release it. Allow the negative thinking space to express itself; don’t seek to suppress, deny or destroy it. You cannot avoid it; your negative thinking needs a space to express itself. Be aware of it and acknowledge it’s presence. The more you resist it, the more it will persist. The more you accept and integrate it the less you’ll experience the negative episodes.
I’ve learned through my own personal experience that it’s paramount for me to love and accept myself in it’s entirety. Even that which is negative needs my loving attention. I’ve come to the point where I can become aware of my negative thinking and hold a space for it to express itself so that I can disentangle myself from it.
If you are reading this article then most likely you are or will be experiencing something very similar to what I’ve described. I want you to know emphatically that you will get through this and all will be well. Be present when the negative thinking happens; but don’t condemn yourself if your unable to stop negative thinking. Just be aware; observe your thoughts and notice how you can choose whether or not to emotionally entangle with it.
Be aware my friends of your inherent power within; that which entangles you in negative thinking can be overcome through the act of being present. This journey in which you are about to embark upon will be very difficult, many trials will come your way, but with perseverance you shall master the negative ego. The world needs you to overcome this darkness; there is no greater service you can provide for humanity than overcoming your own negative ego.
This is the key to our freedom; disentangle from that which keeps us all in a reactionary mode. Be the change you wish to see in this world. Confront the enemy from within and know yourself as God! Victory Of The Light!

Here I am using “negative ego” as a term, I am not using “negative” as an adjective to define ego. The ego is basically the “I” reference in our physicality, and inherently it’s essential for our physical existence to have a structure, meaning and perspective.
The problem is basically with the negativity that creeps into the ego structure owing to garnering negative perception. With time, the ego structure keeps growing in the strength of its negativity to the point where it acquires a very powerful standing in your being. It becomes an “entity” that has a voice of its own, it’s like a negative person living inside you.
It’s very normal to take this “negative ego” to be who we are, and this becomes very dangerous because now we start protecting this structure in us – we become attached to it.
We fear its dissolution, we defend it, repair it, attract people who can keep fueling it and basically keep away from anyone who might cause it to be brought down (have you noticed a part of you that just hates this whole “alignment” process and basically wants to defend its right to be negative).
Why dissolving your negative ego is so hard
Dissolving the negative ego is one of the most challenging experiences one goes through during the process of alignment, it’s much more challenging that the release of “past” negative energy accumulation in our body/being.
The reason it’s challenging is because we take ourselves to be the negative ego and so its dissolution feels like our own dissolution, or a psychological suicide – it’s literally a death of a certain personality in us, a certain identity that we took to be who we are.
And the fact is that only after the dissolution of a large part of the negative ego do we start glimpsing that it’s not who we are – there is a lot of joy in this realization, but the process of allowing the dissolution of this negative ego, till this point, is a work of understanding.
Without proper understanding it’s really easy to hold onto to this negative ego, and keep defending it as who you are.
It’s tricky business because the “negative ego” becomes such a strong identity in your brain that it starts protecting it as a necessary part of survival, and anything that’s threatening its dissolution is taken to be the enemy.
It’s so easy to see this in people (especially the intellectual ones), how they come up with some really clever arguments to defend the presence of the negative ego, for most others the argument always is that “it’s too damn tough to let go of it”.
What drives the negative ego?
The part in you that always finds a way to be unhappy is the negative ego, period.
The negative ego can’t be happy for long even though it does promise you that it will be happy if only it has “——-” (fill in the blanks).
Actually, the negative ego clings to the desire produced in the moment, and uses it as a means to feel even more unhappy by stating that “I don’t have this, and I won’t be happy until I have this”. So the desire by itself is not the problem, the problem is that the negative ego clings to it and makes it into a new reason for being unhappy.
In fact, it also starts feeling negative about the desire, it starts doubting the desire and uses it as a means to proclaim unworthiness delving into throes of self-pity, blame, resentment, anxiety and anger. I am sure this is a good enough description for you to see this entity in you – it’s so evident and its behavior is the same in all the minds.
The negative ego is fueled by your identification, your attention, your interest, your belief and your servility towards it. Without your identification, it can’t sustain itself because it’s just a “thought force”.
Why you need to dissolve the negative ego and not try to change it?
The deal is that you can’t change the negative ego into a positive one, you just need to dissolve it and the natural wholeness of your being comes to the front.
The negative ego can put on a pretense of being positive for a while, but anyone who has an iota of awareness can see through this charade – you can sense the fear behind the show of positivity.
Since the very structure of the negative ego is based on lack and fear, it can’t ever be positive, not for long. The only way towards freedom is to dissolve its force in you to the point where it’s influence becomes “zero”. This process will take time, and it can feel like a real war in your mind for a while, and it can be tiring – however the more understanding/awareness you have, the faster you allow the dissolution to be.
There can be a few surprises where you feel really certain that you are done with the negative ego only to be struck with a new episode of its “emergence” triggered by some events or some thought – you can feel flabbergasted by its intensity, and wonder if you will ever be free of it. But the deal is that when it really done, it’s really done – until then it will keep emerging. At some point you will be stable enough to not be shaken up by its emergence and you can deal with it quite easily – when you reach this point you feel a sense of “power” within you, and it’s what I call a place of inner stability.
When you lack an inner stability, when the negative ego is in the foreground, you “become” it – it’s just like being possessed, and this causes you to start believing that this is who you are, thus creating a cycle of identification and reinforcement.
People who have some awareness can always see the “real you” (or the possibility of you) below the surface of the negative ego, this is because we always carry the vibration of our “higher self” (or ideal self) within us which is evident to anyone who is sensitive to it – when you sit alone with yourself you can also sense this ideal self within you, like your inner being that just feels submerged in the layers of the negative ego.
Identifying the negative ego
The most important requirement to start dissolving the negative ego is for you to identify it in your mind.
As long as you take yourself to be the negative ego it’s not easy to dissolve it, because you will constantly keep defending it, protecting it, repairing it and pampering it. What feels like your “ideal self” is actually your true self, there is no two ways about it, and this is the self that comes to the foreground when the negative ego dissolves.
So any part of you that does not feel congruent with your sense of your ideal self is part of the negative ego. It takes some brutal honestly to really start seeing the negative ego for what it is.
Another characteristic of the negative ego, that you can identify it by is that it’s never driven purely by love mostly because it’s rooted in “lack” and love is a loss of lackful-ness. Under the influence of the negative ego, everything is made into a means to an end, a possession, a way of self-enhancement, an achievement, a means of approval/acceptance, a means of entertainment, a means of security etc, and it’s not long before it brings this tendency even to the purest forms of love.
Love, in its true form, is the only feeling which goes beyond the survival mode and it’s the most liberating feeling because when you are in love there is no “negative ego” involved – it just feels like the real you. It’s just that, it’s not long before the negative ego creeps in and basically corrupts this love in some way owing to its sense of lack. It need not even be love for a person, it could be love for a body of work, for a vision, for a desire etc, the purity of it is destroyed when it’s infiltrated by the negative ego and it becomes more or less artificial, losing its sense of depth.
A work done from love has a depth that can never be achieved by a work done as a means to an end. When you love someone for who they are without the need for possession it has a completely different depth to it. The negative ego will convince you that it’s impractical to live a life driven by love, and when you buy into this argument you basically sign up for a life of drudgery and deadness that just starts eating into you with time no matter how hard you try to cover it up with distractions.
Actually, the negative ego is really easy to identify, it’s just that in many of us it’s in such a force that we are totally taken up in it; we never consider stepping back and observing it for what it is. It’s a heavy baggage on your being to contend with the constant resistance of the negative ego.
The momentum of the negative ego causes you to fear it and you would rather give in to it rather than dis-identify from it – it’s like giving in to a bully out of the fear of being beaten up, it’s really no different. A lot of us claim that we are bullied by our mind, and it’s very true considering the fact that the negative ego is like “another person” within us, just that this person runs on the fuel of fear. Your true self, or your inner being, runs on love, that’s all that drives it and it doesn’t need love, it is love and it is self-sustaining.
The negative ego constantly “needs” love, approval, security and compassion from the outside, and it’s always on a blame game routine.
We are so taken up by the negative ego in our society that it’s almost considered “stupid” to have an integrity or an innocent honesty – being manipulative, shrewd, calculating and cold are considered worthwhile traits to imbue, it’s called “learning the ways of the world”, it doesn’t speak much about such a world.
This is one reason why people perceive it as being dangerous to be “innocent”, because the sense is that the world is filled with people ready to exploit your innocence – this obviously causes us to become even more closed, creating a strong fortress of negative ego. The only problem is that a negative ego can only attract more negative egos in your reality, there is no getting around it.
We desire a reality filled with people of integrity and innocence, but we are unwilling to have the courage to first be that ourselves (you can’t attract what you are not being) – if not outside, atleast within you align with honoring your innocence, stop trying to be so “cold” and calculative. When you see innocence, and honesty, in others honor it, instead of trying to exploit it to your benefit or putting it down – a lack based, and cynical, mindset is the hallmark of a negative ego.
Disintegrating the negative ego
Poison for the negative ego is when you are no longer identified with it – it takes time, and it’s a war in its own right, a war between your inner being and your negative ego.
Just that the way of the inner being is the way of a peaceful warrior – it wins by “allowing” fully. The mind feels like a battlefield for a while when you start disengaging from the negative ego – emotional blackmails, stark threats, projected doom are the ways in which the negative ego will try to pull back your identification, it will want to survive at all costs and the only way it can survive is by pulling your identification.
Of course, the moment you become aware of the negative ego is basically its death knoll, this awareness ensures that you will see it for what it is even if you become pulled in it by it – with time you will be able to see through most of its gimmicks to the point where you are no longer taken in by it. Awareness comes from understanding and honest observation, and it’s the only force that can free you of the grip of negative ego.
An important understanding is to realize that the dissolution of the negative ego does not happen through “fighting it” but by allowing it fearlessly without identification – if you fight it by trying to suppress it or hating on it, it just fuels it indirectly.
When you allow the momentum of the negative ego, in you, to dissolve (through the state of allowing), you will start seeing glimpses of your inner being come to the forefront. Initially they are just temporary glimpses and it leaves you with a sense that may be it’s not you, that it’s just some “experience” of goodness, but with time you will sense this inner being becoming you (it was always you to start with) in this physical expression, with no “gap” – it no longer feels like there are two of you, you just feel unified and whole. This is an end of conflicted behavior and resistance, allowing a harmonious expression to follow.
Once you start getting a glimpse of your inner being coming to the forefront, the negative ego can feel even more suffocating, and it’s a good thing, because it allows you to let go of it more easily. You must understand that it’s pure “physics” that this force built over years will take time to ebb away.
However, the advantage is that without your identification it burns away in short time (an approximation would be that it would take 4-6 months to sense inner stability and after that some more months to see a total dissolution) since it’s not supported by your life-stream as it were. Of course, if you keep identifying with the negative ego, it just takes more time to dissolve it – so it’s also a question of attitude.
It’s not an easy journey but it’s a journey that you can’t avoid for long because there is bound to come a point where the negative ego hits the threshold of imbalance, creating suffering which directly triggers the need for growth. When I say it’s not an easy journey I just mean that it can be physically fatiguing to deal with this intense play of energy (the negative ego has a strong force) within you, to go through a period of feeling a bit “dysfunctional” because you are in a limbo between the negative ego and the inner being, to see several parts of your external reality (that were fueled by the negative ego) dissolving, to deal with the fear of uncertainty created by being in this limbo.
Frankly, this journey is one of the best adventures you can ever be on, it’s something you wish you could avoid when you are going through it but something you know you didn’t want to miss when you are done with it. It leaves you a different person.

The space of inner wholeness arises when you release most of the negative energy momentum that has been accumulated in your body/mind. The way to release this momentum is by letting go of giving new fuel to it, so that it runs purely on its past fuel which gets exhausted with time. The various ways in which you end up giving new fuel to an existing negative momentum are
– By fearing the negative feelings, and hence trying to suppress it
– By believing the negative thoughts to be true and hence giving interest to them
– By fearing the negative thoughts and “trying” to suppress them
– By “trying” to ignore the negative thought/feelings in the hopes that they will disappear (you can sense that you are trying to ignore them out of your fear of them)
– By trying to keep yourself distracted in activities to avoid the inner negativity (this is just a form of suppression)
Basically, if you notice, anything you do out of “fear” of the negativity fuels the negativity further – it’s like an indirect fuel. Also, when you believe the negativity you are directly fueling it. When you try to push away a thought or a feeling, out of fear of it, it indirectly fuels its presence in you – you stay shackled to it. Scientifically this is because when you fear something you are giving “attention” to its presence, and attention is “concentrated focus” which has the power to amplify, or give fuel, to its presence in your reality in someway. Just like when you love something you give focus to it, when you fear something you give focus to it – fear and love both pull your focus.
Don’t protect your being
The first step to being free of a negativity is to stop fearing its presence. The only way you can do this is by consciously allowing it to arise in you – be it a feeling or a thought, without trying to get rid of it. You may think that if you allow it then it will take over your life or that it will manifest in some form, but this is a misunderstanding. In truth, life-energy being pure positive in its natural vibration cannot hold a negative vibration unless you are fueling it with your personal focus. So, when you stay open to allowing it, you are not giving any “concentrated focus” to it, and hence the negative energy gets dissolved as it’s not sustained by life-energy.
The act of allowing is free of fear, and hence the negativity does not get the fuel of your fear to sustain itself. Total allowing is total letting go because you are no longer holding on to any way of protecting yourself against what arises as a feeling or a thought – for me one of the best pointers for letting go came from a teacher called Mooji when he said “Don’t try to protect your being, it’s un-harm-able”. Only when you let go of trying to protect yourself, from your feelings and thoughts, do you realize the spaciousness of your being – when you are trying to protect yourself against a feeling/thought your being becomes “narrow” (closed), when you let go of your defenses you become “spacious” (open). When your being is narrow, even the smallest negativity can hit you hard. When your being is spacious you are not overwhelmed by anything.
Should I be aware or should I let go?
Awareness initially can feel like active watching, because it’s like you are watching a thought or a feeling almost as an effort. This is how everyone starts off on this journey of waking up from the mind’s pull, by becoming an active watcher of their mind. It does feel like an effort initially because you are not used to being aware of your mind, since you are mostly, habitually, lost in the mind. This watching of thoughts/feelings is also a “brain activity”, because this “active awareness”, or efforted awareness, also comes from the brain – its just like you are watching something keenly, only this time the “something” is your mind, your space of thoughts and feelings, instead of the outside. This type of active awareness is needed for a while to grow in the power of awareness – this is a period where techniques are of a help, you can do these following techniques to increase the power of your awareness
– Spend time watching your mind and your feelings, without any outside distraction, may be for 15-30 minutes day
– During your day, every time you become conscious that you were lost in the mind or an outside activity, spend a minute or two being aware of your surroundings and your feeling/thought space,
– Be more aware of your body movements
– Bring awareness to your body’s energy by sensing it more keenly
You get the idea, it’s just about becoming a more acute observer of your mind, body and surroundings, so that you are not lost in a haze of activity. This awareness takes time to grow stronger because you are not habituated to being aware, you are more habituated to be pulled around by the mind. Don’t be too hard on yourself though, don’t try to pull off feats like trying to be forcefully aware for long periods, it’s not needed. Just allow your ability for awareness to keep growing slowly and steadily, it naturally takes time, you cannot become strong in your awareness overnight – usually it can take a few months on its own.
While your awareness becomes stronger, you become more keenly aware of your inner negativity, the things that were suppressed in you as well as the negative momentum in your mind. It can feel a bit overwhelming to become aware of so much negativity. This is the time when you start “letting go”, and allowing, instead of trying to be aware. You consciously relax, and allow the negativity in the space of relaxed awareness, you are no longer trying to be “keenly aware”, your awareness just become relaxed and you allow the negativity the space to arise – only when you allow this space can it be dissolved, or released, because in this space the negativity gets touched by the wholeness of life-energy. At one point, you stop “trying” to be aware, you just become naturally open and spacious, this is when you start sensing the inner wholeness and feel stable in your being.
So in summary this how the phase moves
Efforted awareness – Relaxed awareness – Total allowing
The state of “total allowing” means you are no longer in any fear of the negativity, this is a state of total letting go because there is no sense of making an effort to let go or be aware, you are truly not bothered by it – not as a means of denial like “I don’t care” but as an unconditionally open space of “I am not afraid”. The state of being “just open” takes time and it comes naturally, you can’t pretend or fake it, it’s the natural state of being without resistance to life.

Scientific studies have proven the power of mass meditation on the planetary collective consciousness:
“The results produced by temporary peace-creating groups (lasting weeks or months) have been consistently positive—with nearly immediate reductions in war deaths averaging better than 70%. In addition, the one peace-creating assembly that lasted for several years was accompanied by a history-transforming wave of peace around the world.
Reduced warfare in Lebanon: During days of high attendance at a group of peace-creating experts in Jerusalem, war deaths in neighboring Lebanon decreased by 76%. Increases in attendance at the peace-creating group also correlated strongly with reduced crime, traffic accidents, and fires, and with improved economic indicators.”
“In 1993 a successful experiment was performed in Washington DC in America to demonstrate the effect of a large group of transcendental meditators on crime levels. Researchers predicted in advance that the calming influence of group meditation practice could reduce violent crime by over 20 percent in Washington, D.C., during an 8-week period in the summer of 1993.
In fact, the findings later showed that the rate of violent crime decreased by 23 percent during the June 7 to July 30 experimental period. The odds of this result occurring by chance are less than 2 in 1 billion.
This was a carefully controlled study. The demonstration project involved assembling in the D.C. area nearly 4,000 practitioners of Transcendental Meditation programs from 81 countries. The experiment was rigorously analyzed by a 27-member project review board composed of independent scientists and civic leaders who approved the research protocol and monitored the research process.”
To also quote the late hypnotherapist Dolores Cannon:
“The power of the mind has been stressed many times in my work. If one mind is powerful imagine the power of group mind – power that is not only multiplied, it is squared. The power of group mind can truly create miracles.”
We have the power to make this an epic meditation everyone! Hope to have you join in! Much love!
